Trash service

  • All residents will receive a new trash cart for automated pick-up
  • All trash must be placed inside a city-issued cart with the lid shut
  • Bags of trash left at the curb will no longer be accepted
  • Yard waste must go in the trash cart or be composted at home
  • Old trash cans may be used if you affix Overflow Stickers to them
  • Residents will be provided with five free Overflow Stickers each year

Recycling service

  • All recyclers will receive a new, no-sort recycling cart
  • No need to separate recyclables -- just throw them in the cart
  • Recycling pick-up will occur on your trash day every other week

Collection

  • New trucks will be equipped with mechanical arms that lift carts and empty them into the truck
  • New trucks will run on compressed natural gas (CNG)
