Cart Information

Cart Placement

• Set carts out by 7am. Remove carts from street within 24 hours.
• Place wheeled cart against the curb or along the alley with the handle pointing towards your residence.
• Do not block the sidewalk with carts.
• Keep carts at least three feet away from other carts, mailboxes, fire hydrants, low hanging trees or shrubs, parked cars, or utility poles so trucks can easily access the cart.

Weight Limits

Your carts cannot be picked up if they exceed the following weight limits:

• 95-gallon cart: 335 lbs.
• 65-gallon cart: 200 lbs.
• 48-gallon cart: 168 lbs.

NOTE: Loading carts with sod, rocks, or bricks can overload the cart and cause damage.

Additional carts

Residents can order up to three 95-gallon carts. If you need more than three 95-gallon carts, please call (208) 384-3901 to request a waiver for additional cart services.

Cart exchange policy

Call (208) 345-1266 to exchange your cart, order additional carts, or request a different size.

Damaged or broken carts

Call (208) 345-1266 to report damage and receive a replacement cart.
