Q.What do I do with my old trash cans?
A. You can recycle you old trash cans (plastic and metal) but you may want to keep them for overflow trash using Overflow Stickers.  If you want to recycle your old containers, Allied Waste will collect them.  You can set your old container out for recycling as soon as you receive your new carts.

In order to identify your old containers for recycling, you will need to do one of the following:

  • Put the container in your 95-gallon recycling cart
  • Leave it at the curb with a note that says "Recycle Me"
  • Drop it off at a local recycling center

Q. Can I keep my old blue recycling bin?
A. Allied Waste will collect the old blue bins the day they deliver the new blue recycling carts.
