Service Options:
Wheeled Carts
- Wheeled carts are a good option for businesses that want to recycle a large quantity of a single material. Businesses can have up to five carts, depending on their recycling needs. If collection space is limited, then businesses should consider using one cart and rotating the type of recyclable material they collect each week. The carts can be collected at daily, weekly or monthly intervals, depending on the company's needs. Cardboard needs to be flattened or cut into pieces so it easily fits inside carts.
Green Dumpsters
- best for large businesses that have a large quantity of waste paper and corrugated cardboard; can be used in conjunction with wheeled carts.
Recycling Program Considerations:
Boise City will meet with interested commercial businesses to develop a specific recycling program. However, before a recycling program can be developed, the company needs to consider a few items:
- Do you have a practical location where recyclable materials can be collected? Breakrooms, kitchens, or other large rooms may provide enough space to locate a recycling center.
- Is there a site available outside the building where collection trucks can easily pick up the bins, carts, or dumpsters?
- Do you know what type and how many materials you would like to recycle?
- Is everyone in the business committed to a recycling program? A successful recycling program relies on committed company management, facility staff, and employees.
