Boise City encourages all events to minimize waste and recycle. We can help you design an effective waste-reduction strategy, and we have recycle bins available for your use at no charge. As you’re planning your event, consider these simple guidelines:
• Provide a recycle bin for each trash container;
• Locate trash and recycling containers side-by-side;
• Recruit enough staff or volunteers to constantly monitor and empty the containers;
• Promote your sustainability efforts in your advertising, stage announcements, etc.;
• Make your vendors, staff, and volunteers aware of your diversion efforts;
• Celebrate reducing your environmental impact!
