Residential Holiday Cleanup Week: Dec. 26-30

Residential Holiday Cleanup Week: Dec. 26-30

(Boise) - With the holiday season comes food, family, cheer and lots of extra recyclable materials and trash. If your blue and gray carts are full, Boise residents can manage the extra waste during "Holiday Cleanup Week" starting the day after Christmas.

Follow the guidelines below on your regular trash day (Dec. 26-30):

EXTRA RECYCLING
Place extra recyclables in a 20-32 gallon container near your blue cart. Tape a label on the container that reads "extra recycling." (Click her for holiday recycling and waste reduction/reuse tips.)

OVERFLOW TRASH/YARD WASTE
Please put your extra holiday waste in 20-32 gallon containers. Yard waste can be placed in paper leaf bags.  Set your extra cans and paper leaf bags near your gray trash cart(s).

Trash/yard waste in plastic bags or boxes will not be collected. All extra waste must be in 20-32 gallon containers, gray trash carts or paper leaf bags (see above).

REMINDER: Curbside Christmas tree collection is January 2-6, 2012. Trees must be cut into four-foot lengths and free of all decorations. Extra trash (including leaves) will not be collected with the trees. Residents must use "overflow stickers" on 20-32 gallon trash cans if they still have extra material to discard.

For more information on collection programs and year round waste reduction tips, visit www.curbitboise.org. If you have questions after regular business hours, contact Vince Trimboli at (208) 949-3712.
