Televisions and Computers

Household Hazardous Waste

Accepted items include computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, cell phones and televisions. The collection program does NOT accept household appliances, such as microwaves or VCRs.

The collection programs consists of mobile collection sites in Boise, Meridian, Kuna, Eagle, and the permanent collection facility at the Ada County Hidden Hollow Sanitary Landfill. The mobile collection sites are open to residents within the limits of the respective cities, while any Ada County resident can use the facility at the sanitary landfill.

Please note:  Space is limited on the mobile collection trucks and we cannot accept large quantities of items. We can accept up to three computer monitors and two televisions (27 inches in size or smaller) per household per collection day.

Televisions larger than 27 inches in size and console televisions (i.e. televisions in a wood cabinet) must be taken to the Ada County Landfill, Monday through Saturday from 8:00am - 6:00pm.  You will be directed to offload your television in an area near the top of the landfill: this area is for televisions ONLY; no other household hazardous waste can be left.

NOTE: Off-loading assistance is ONLY available on Fridays and Saturdays when the Permanent Collection Facility is staffed.

Televisions that are 27 inches in size or smaller can be taken to either the landfill or any mobile collection site (limit of two televisions).
